So far I’ve only been to Bali twice, but I plan to go many more times in the future. Here is my take and description of my favorite luxury resorts, hotels and villas in Bali! Bali is beautiful! Enjoy!

The Kayon Resort ~ Ubud

The Kayon Resort is netsled in the lush jungle like setting of Ubud. It is where nature meets are with romantic ambience. The resort is immaculate and the service is phenomenal. The Kayon caters to adults and during my stay there were no children there.

It is very dimly lit as to preserve the ambience and it is quite peaceful with low chatter and traditional balinese rhythms and waterfall sounds in the background. The pool at the Kayon was one of my favorite amenities. It overlooks the lush greenery, was immaculate, and was surrounded by a wooden deck, lounge chairs with umbrellas, small tables, and beautifully sculptured water fountains.

Upon arrival at The Kayon you will be greeted with the warmest smiles, a sincere welcome, a cool towel and a deliciously icy blended refreshing welcome drink made of honey, mint, cucumber, and basil. It was very green and it was delicious!

I advise anyone staying here to request a room close to the restaurant and pool. The Kayon did have a lot of stairs and if you aren’t close to the lobby you will get a nice workout.

The Kayon Resort also offered complimentary shuttle service to Ubud Center, which is the hub of shopping in the area.

Breakfast came with my suite as well as a complimentary 30 minute Balinese Style body massage. The spa area at the Kayon is smaller scale, but nonetheless lovely.

So far, this is my favorite Resort in Bali and I look forward to returning here!
